But if any man hath not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. (Rom 8:9 ASV).

This verse clearly defines who is saved and who is not. He who has the Holy Spirit is saved, while he who does not have the Spirit is not saved. The Spirit of Christ is given to every true believer who places their trust in Christ upon the moment of their decision to trust upon him as their Lord and Savior. Receiving the Holy Spirit does not necessitate any type of outward sign or experience, but evidence of a true conversion with the Spirit will manifest itself over time with an internal love for God and others. If you are a true believer, then you have the Spirit who now spatially indwells you. However, the Spirit only comes to dwell within those who have truly and sincerely sought out a relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
